My Dad was a well-known and much-loved radio sports personality in the Ocean City/Salisbury, Maryland area. Known as "Capt. Jim" since his days at 99.9 WKHI FM in Ocean City, he was a champion of local sports. He called the Shorebirds games in Salisbury, and announced the Salisbury University football games. Dad passed away on July 16, 2009. Below are some clips honoring him. His memorial was held at the Shorebirds' Perdue Stadium. I cannot thank the Shorebirds enough for the generous hosting they gave in honoring Dad. Wether you knew him as Capt. Jim, or a friend, or a father, you couldn't help but love his smile and his living example of the best in humanity. Dad, we miss you, and we will love you forever.
